Honey BBQ Glaze

Ingredients

1 cup ketchup

1/3 cup Tu-Bees Gourmet Honey

4 TBSP cider vinegar

1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/3 teaspoon of black pepper

Recipe Directions

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients and simmer on low until sauce thickens. Use this as a barbecue glaze for your favourite rack of ribs. Tastes amazing on chicken too!!

Ingredients

1 TBSP brown sugar

2 TBSP lemon juice

2 TBSP. Tu-Bees Cinnamon Gourmet Honey

½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger (or substitute with ground ginger)

Ingredients

2 pounds diced uncooked chicken breast

1/3 cup flour

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Pepper to taste

4 Tbsp  butter (not margarine)

1/4 cup Tu-Bees Gourmet Ginger Honey

3 Tbsp. lemon juice

2 Tbsp. soy sauce

1/2 tsp. ground ginger (optional - add only if you really REALLY love a strong tasting ginger)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a shallow dish combine the flour, garlic powder and pepper. Dip each piece of chicken into the flour mixture and make sure it is evenly covered. Melt 2 Tbsp. of butter in a shallow baking dish, large enough to accommodate the chicken in a single layer. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then turn the pieces over.

In a small saucepan, melt the remaining butter and add the Tu-Bees Gourmet Ginger Honey, lemon juice, soy sauce and ginger (if you want a strong ginger taste). Pour the mixture over the chicken and continue to bake another 30 minutes. Be sure to mix the chicken around or continuously baste it while it is cooking. Serve the chicken over a bed of rice or as a side dish.

Gourmet Honey Cream Cheese Icing

Ingredients

1 block of plain creamed cheese, softened

1/4 cup of Tu-Bees Gourmet Honey (any flavour)

Whip softened cream cheese until completely smooth. Add the gourmet honey and continue to blend until smooth. Use as a spread for bagels, buns, or breads. Perfect for icing cakes.

Honey Buttercream Icing

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature 

1/3 cup “plus” an additional 2 Tbsp. of Tu-Bees Gourmet Honey 

4-5 cups powdered sugar (aka - icing sugar)

Recipe Directions

In a stand mixer, cream together the butter and honey for 2 minutes.

Add 2 cups of the powdered sugar. Start on low speed, beat until smooth and creamy.

Gradually add the remaining sugar (1 cup at a time).

Beat well after each addition until the icing is thick enough for spreading consistency.

Use milk to thin out frosting to reach desired consistency.

Maple Honey Salmon

Ingredients

1/4 cup of Tu-Bees Maple Gourmet Honey

2 TBSP of Soya Sauce

1 Clove of Garlic, Minced

1/8 tsp. of Garlic Salt

1/8 tsp. of Black Pepper 

1 lb. of Salmon

Recipe Directions

Place salmon in a shallow glass baking dish. Mix all the remaining ingredients in a small bowl, then coat the salmon with the mixture.

Cover the dish and refrigerate for 15 minutes. 

Flip the salmon over and then continue to refrigerate for another 15 minutes to evenly marinate the salmon. 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).

Place salmon in oven uncovered and bake for 20 minutes or until flaky.

Maple Honey Texas Butter

Ingredients

2/3 cup unsalted butter

1/3 cup Maple Gourmet Honey

Recipe Directions

Whip butter until light and fluffy.

Add the maple gourmet honey and continue to whip.

Stir in real bacon bits (optional) and spread onto bread, buns or toast.

Note:  Do not use artificial bacon bits, only real bacon bits (dried).

Slow Cooker Ginger Beef

Ingredients

1 pound of stewing beef – cut into cubes

2 teaspoons of minced garlic

1/2 cup Tu-Bees Ginger Gourmet Honey

2 TBSP. rice vinegar (white vinegar can be substituted)

3 TBSP soy sauce

1 TBSP Red Pepper Flakes

Recipe Directions

Brown stewing beef and put into slow cooker.

Combine garlic, honey, vinegar, soy sauce and red pepper flakes. Pour over top of meat in slow cooker. Cook on high for 2 hours stirring occasionally to cook sauce into the meat.

Serve with a side dish of rice and cover with some stir fried match sticks of carrots, bell peppers and green onions.

2 Tablespoons Balsamic or White Vinegar

A squeeze of lime
